On Compulsive Shopping

For the longest time, I’ve been dealing with either depression that’s intermittent or an existential crisis. I have since been relying on buying things to allay the sporadic feelings of emptiness; like a druggie dependent on short bursts of euphoria from depressants. I’m now trying to abate this impractical behaviour by sticking to smaller purchases that will not drive me in debt. Now that I’ve named my demon, hopefully I can find better methods to combat this compulsion instead of relying on quick fixes from shopping runs 🤞😊

Pride Month 2019

Pride Month🏳️‍🌈 is about recognizing a fundamental truth – that human rights are universal and to pay tribute to the generations of LGBT+ persons who’ve devoted their lives to the fight for equality not just for some, but for all.

LGBT+ persons, continue to face discrimination, violence, and even death – often for no other reason than for simply existing.
May we take this time to reflect on tolerance, justice, and equality.  Principles that underpin our society and allow us to live in peace regardless of gender, religion, sexual orientation, or gender identity.
